Non festeggio TUTTE le feste "comandate": se devo fare un regalo a Roberta non aspetto S. Valentino, vado in vacanza a Settembre e non ad agosto e cose così. Il 31/08 è stata la festa dei blog (o blog day), ma non l'ho festeggiata.

Non ho un motivo particolare per seguire un calendario personale, ma tant'è, oggi "festeggio" il mio blog day, segnalando 5 blog che leggo spesso e che penso siano poco conosciuti qui da noi. Questo sempre secondo la filosofia del "non bisogna aspettare un giorno prefissato per fare qualcosa che ci piace o riteniamo utile".

1. Micropersuasion: un blog sui social media, un po' alla Pandemia, ovviamente concentrato sulla blogosphere d'oltreoceano...
2. Coding Horror: Hi-tech, programmazione, ecc... Visti con gli occhi di un programmatore.
3. PhotoJoJo: fotografia fai da te e stramberie fotografiche.
4. Lifeclever: vita (al pc e non) e design.
5. Work happy: risorse per chi vuol essere un imprenditore felice

Visto che sono sulla mappa, e anche ben piazzato a dirla tutta, bisogna festeggiare!

E voi ci siete? Avete comprato il sole 24 ore? Devo fare una gigantografia da condividere online??? Ma soprattutto... Sono stato l'unico che ha speso i 6 euro del libricino in supplemento?

Festeggiamo anche tutto lo staff di MyBlogLog.com (fondatore compreso) che è venuto a farsi un giretto sul piccolo blog di un piccolo programmatore italiano, tra un'acquisizione da parte di Yahoo e altri affari sicuramente più importanti.

Figurati se un qualsiasi "capo" di una qualsiasi aziendina italiana si sarebbe degnato. Poi ci chiediamo perché siamo 10 anni indietro rispetto agli USA.

UPGRADING

MyAvatars is getting better, but to upgrade from 0.1 version you have to follow these steps:

• Disable older versions
• Delete the plugin from your server (take a copy on your PC)
• Upload the MyAvatars folder, without renaming it to your WordPress plugin folder
• Activate the plugin in your panel

If you have already installed version 0.2 you can just overwrite the folder named MyAvatars in your plugins folder.

INSTALLATION

1. Download the file myavatars.zip, extract & copy it in your plugin directory preserving the folder name
2. Activate the plugin in your plugin page

THEME INTEGRATION

Paste the code given inside the comment's loop (just after the "foreach ($comments as $comment) :" instruction) in your comments.php file. You can style the code for a better integration using the dedicated CSS in the plugin folder.

Call the function MyAvatars with a true for Gravatar support. E.g. MyAvatars(true);

Leave blank for default settings

CONFIGURATION

From version 0.2 MyAvatars has some settings you can change. You can change settings by editing the php file in the plugin folder. Comments will help you during configuration.

FAQ

I can see all the avatar except mine!
Check your WordPress profile in your admin panel. Be sure to set your URL to the URL of your blog.

I have a "stack error" in Internet Explorer!
It happens only on some machines. I'm working to find out what kind of problem is...
